Abstract
תופעות של אלימות ואלימות במשפחה יש בהן פגיעה בזכויות האדם, על המדינה חלה החובה להגן על קורבנות האלימות והאלימות במשפחה בכלל. במאנות זכויות האדם נגד עינויים בא לידי ביטוי ענין זה כמו למשל "באמנה הבינלאומית בדבר זכויות אזרחיות ומדיניות "(ICCPR)
