Abstract
התקווה לסין דמוקרטית על פי אמות מידה מערביות, מופרכת ונשענת על חוסר הבנה תרבותית. סינים רבים שאינם מכירים את הדמוקרטיה המערבית מאמינים ש"שלטון העם", הפירוש הסיני המילולי של "דמוקרטיה", מתקיים אצלם ואין ציפייה שיהיה מלווה בחילופי שלטון, בזכויות פרט או בחופש דיבור. (מתוך המאמר)
