Abstract
המאמר עוסק בשתי עתירות נגד קיצוץ חד בגמלאות הבטחת הכנסה, אשר משולמות מטעם המוסד לביטוח לאומי לאנשים החיים בעוני. פסק הדין המשותף בעתירות אלה - עמותת מחויבות לשלום ולצדק חברתי נגד משרד האוצר - ניתן בדצמבר 2005 ונהיה לאבן דרך בפסיקה הישראלית בנוגע למעמדן של הזכויות החברתיות ולהכרה בזכות החוקתית לקיום בכבוד.
