Abstract
במאמר תידון הסיפורת של יוסף חיים בהקשר הזמן והמרחב בו סופרה, תקופה שבה הקהילה היהודית בבגדד התמודדה עם אתגרי המודרניות. מחבר המאמר בחר להתמקד במאמר באחד מהבולטים באתגרים שהציבה זו לקהילות מסורתיות באשר הן - מעמדן המשתנה של הנשים.
