Abstract
בחודש מאי 2007 נערכה חפירה במבנה של ח'אן אל-חילו, בעיר העתיקה של לוד. החפירות נערכו במסגרת פרויקט ארכיאולוגי-קהילתי שנועד לחקור ולחשוף את עברה של העיר לוד ולשמש תמריץ לתהליכים חברתיים שמטרתם לגבש את הקהילה הרב-תרבותית בלוד. מבנה הח'אן כולל שלושה אגפים. בצפון אולם גדול. מקורה בקמרונות צולבים ומחוזק מבחוץ באומנות תמך. ניכר שהאגפים לא נבנו כולם בזמן אחד.
