Abstract
In the system of verb patterns in Tannaitic Hebrew there are six regular patterns, four rare ones, and four variant ones. The regular patterns are paˁal–nifˁal, piˁˁel–nitpaˁˁal, and hifˁil–hufˁal. The rare patterns are puˁˁal, nittafˁal, and poˁel–nitpoˁal. The variant patterns are nufˁal and nippeˁal, both of them variants of nifˁal, and pēˁel–nitpāˁal, variants of piˁˁel–nitpaˁˁal.
