Abstract
המאמר מתאר את תופעת הצליינות לשם כפרת עוונות. בתחילה נתפסה העלייה לרגל כביטוי לאמונה עזה, הקשר לכפרת עוונות מקורו בכנסיה האירית במהלך המאה השישית.
