Abstract
פירוש רשב"ם לשיר השירים מציג את "פשוטו של מקרא" כמבנה דו-קומתי, שבו כל קומה היאבבחינה מסוימת עולם לעצמו, ועם זאת הקומות בנויות זו על זו, וכל קומה משתקפת בחברתה. במישור שכינינו"המישור הראשוני של הפשט" שיר השירים הוא שיר אהבה חושני שבו מתוארות ברגישות ובפירוט רב סצנות אהבה בין נערה לאהובה, ומערכת היחסים המורכבת בינם לבין עצמם ובינם לבין סביבתם.( ואילו במישור האלגורי שיר השירים הוא שירה דתית-לאומית, המגייס ת את ההיסטוריה הלאומית ואת הזיכרון ההיסטורי להתמודדות עם המשבר הדתי שבהווה.
