לאחרונה הושלם פרויקט ראשון מסוגו שמטרתו זיהוי ואיפיון שאלות מחקר חשובות שיסייעו בשמירת הטבע והמגוון הביולוגי בישראל. במאמר מידע על הפרוייקט וחלק משאלות המחקר שזוהו.
