Abstract
The quasi-classical approximation is used to investigate the dynamics of a Rydberg atom in the field of intense electromagnetic radiation whose frequency is close to that of an atomic transition. The conventionally periodic four-frequency classical motion of an atomic electron along the invariant tori arising due to the radiation is described analytically. The applicability conditions of the theory developed are discussed.
