Abstract

Culture of citrus bud explants sampled from outdoor trees is sometimes difficult because of contamination not overcome by standard surface-sterilization. An improved method, involving a 5-minute immersion of explants in 80% (v/v) ethanol, which does not interfere with normal explant and callus development, is described in detail.
