Abstract
The different parts of speech in Hebrew are organized in the order of total number of distinct morphological forms they generate. Such an arrangement reveals that the parameters number, gender and person constitute a squish in the language. The squish is further examined with respect to colloquial changes in the language, in terms of semantic considerations, and in light of psycholinguistic data.
