A useful different eigenvalue for the transport equation

Abstract

The properties of several eigenvalues of the Boltzmann equation for neutron transport were examined previously by the authors (see Nucl. Sci. Eng., vol.60, p.97, 1976). A new eigenvalue is defined in the present work. Its physical meaning is clarified and some of its features are illustrated.
