Acid-base couple solvents in recovery of mineral acids from waste streams

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapterpeer-review

Abstract

Properties of acid-base couple extractants were studied in reference to recovery of acids from waste streams. They were found to combine selectivity, efficient extraction and recovery of the extracted acid at high concentration simply by washing with water. Use of these extractants is expected to considerably decrease the burden on treatment of acidic effluents. (A)
