Abstract

The acupoint injection method, a derivative of the homeopuncture technique, using sodium hydroxide diluted to 10-10 g/ml, was used in 12 female and 8 male patients. Most responsive were patients with musculoskeletal diseases and severe pain as the prominent symptom. Postoperative prolonged weakness and weakness due to heart diseases were more responsive in male than in female patients who needed more sessions of treatment. In this study of 20 patients, excellent improvement was achieved in 17; slight to fair improvement was recorded in the three remaining patients.
