N2 - The tributyltin derivatives of phthalimide, succinimide, imidazole, and isatin have been used as intermediates for the formation of the corresponding N-acyl derivatives by reaction with acyl halides under mild conditions. Metathetical reactions of the stannyl derivatives have also been investigated.
