Abstract
The house gecko Hemidactylus frenatus was brought from Hawaii to Israel. It is shown that the pattern of activity is fairly constant in this species, but its timing is flexible, which allows adaptation to a new daily cycle after transportation over a long distance, a necessary (though not sufficient) prerequisite for successful long-range colonization. -P.J.Jarvis.
