Abstract

We propose a new algorithm for parameter estimation that is applicable when many array are used to detect the incoming signals. This adaptive beamformer can be used in applications, most notably radio-astronomy and synthetic aperture array, where moving arrays are used for measuring the incoming signals. We demonstrate a significant improvement in performance compared with currently used methods for situations with strong interfering sources.
