Abstract
A simple, rapid and effective method for the isolation of the soluble tumor-associated antigens from cancer patient serum is described. The method is based on the use of gel fiberglass (GFG) affinity chromatography and BioGel P-60 columns which enable isolation of single proteins from blood sera. GFG is a new affinity biosensor for isolation of human s53 antigen using rabbit anti-s53 IgG. The described method may be used for the purification of different organ-specific antigens which are of interest in biology and medicine.
