Abstract
The penetration of Andreev bound states (ABS) with exhibition of anomalous proximity effect (PE) in gold coated (110) YBa2iCu3iO -δfilms was analyzed using scanning tunneling spectroscopy. It was observed that while proximity-induced mini-gaps rarely appears in the Au layer, the ABS penetrate into the metal. The zero bias conductance peaks were measured on Au layers, which were thinner than 7 nm with a magnitude similar to those detected on the bare superconductor films. the results show abrupt decay of the peaks with Au thickness and disappear above 10 nm.
