Abstract

Magnetization and Mossbauer studies of an iron probe in PrxY1-xBa2Cu2.7Fe0.3Oz (x=0.0 to 1.0 and z=6, 7) show that iron in the Cu(2) site exhibits magnetic hyperfine structure disappearing at TN(x,z). The phase diagram of TN(x,z) shows that for z=7 TN for x=1.0 is 325 K, 230 K for x=0.6 and 35 K for x=0.4. For z=6, TN(0,6)=415 K and TN(1,6)=350 K.
