Abstract

Magnetization and Mossbauer studies of an iron probe in Pr_xY_1-xBa₂Cu_2.7Fe_0.3O_z (x=0.0 to 1.0 and z=6, 7) show that iron in the Cu(2) site exhibits magnetic hyperfine structure disappearing at T_N(x,z). The phase diagram of T_N(x,z) shows that for z=7 T_N for x=1.0 is 325 K, 230 K for x=0.6 and 35 K for x=0.4. For z=6, T_N(0,6)=415 K and T_N(1,6)=350 K.
