Abstract

The theory of the double electrical layer is used to interpret the evolution of anion exclusion moisture in Typical Chernozem, grey forest soil, sod-alluvial loamy sand soils, and sod-alluvial sandy soils. Although some of the anion exclusion moisture consists of water molecules in the interpacket space of tactoids of soil minerals, the observed dependence of the concentration of anion exclusion moisture on the concentration of the equilibrium solution is in good agreement with theory. -Journal summary
