Abstract
This paper deals with the spot detection of o-aminophenol with pyridine-2-aldehyde, of p-aminophenol with potassium iodate, with the respective detections of o-nitrophenol, o-anisidine, p-nitrophenol arid p-anisidine, and with the detection of β-naphthylamme with pyridine-2-aldehyde. The sensitivity and the selectivity of the spot tesh and the possible mechanism of the reactions is discussed.
