Abstract

Natural 1, 3 and nonnatural 2, 4 models for the photosynthetic reaction center based on RuL2L'- and RuL3- complexes were prepared. Photophysical studies with static and time resolved spectroscopy demonstrated a clear noncovalent interaction between 1-4 and the acceptor BXV4+, being dominant in the complexes 3 and 4 having two binding sites per branch. The results were supported by NMR experiments.
