Abstract

A study is reported in which carbon fibres manufactured by different processes or with different surface treatments were investigated in relation to the adhesion between the fibres and an epoxy resin matrix as measured by the interlaminar short beam shear test. Other chemical and physical tests were used to corroborate the results.
