Abstract
Microwave Dielectric spectra was used to track the dielectric response of bulk water in bovine milk before and after insemination. Mainly, the dielectric strength reduced variability in the case of successful inseminations. Principal Component Analysis was performed using dielectric and milk composition features. A clear differentiation between pregnancy and non-pregnancy status was observed in the case of confirmed successful inseminations. The results of this research confirm the sensitivity of Microwave Dielectric Spectroscopy (MDS) to the changes caused in bulk water of bovine milk due to pregnancy. It also indicates that MDS is a potential technique that can be used for cow's pregnancy detection.
