Abstract
The choice of the essay's title is justified because “coexistence education” reflects an honest assessment of what it may be possible to further or achieve by educational means in what might otherwise be called peace education or reconciliation efforts, and yet even coexistence may not be reached easily when only education is implemented towards this goal.
