Abstract
This is the first report on combined anion (F-) and cation (Ce4+) substitution to achieve superconductive properties of the parent material Nd2CuO4, which is usually doped either with Ce or F. We synthesized Nd2-xCexCuO4-yFy samples using a variety of combinations of x+y. In this "double-doped" system the effect of the anion and cation is additive. The contribution of the Ce4+ and F- to the change carrier concentration is similar. Superconducting properties are obtained for x+y≥0.13, independently of the Ce/F ratio.
