N2 - It is shown that the usual model for confined one-center systems can be extended to two-center systems and the theory is used to treat H2 and HeH2+. It is convenient to use spheroidal coordinates for the two-center problems and we use this formalism to compare hydrogenlike systems confined spheroidally with the more standard spherical confinement. A discussion of confinement by both penetrable and impenetrable barriers is given together with a technique for describing the effect of the external region.
