Abstract

Table 2 in the original paper listed barriers (DE¼6 ) for the formation of the exo and endo stereoisomers of the Diels-Alder reactions, under the influence of an oriented external electric field aligned along the three cartesian axes (see Scheme 1). The columns wherein the electric field is oriented along the y axis were swapped in the original paper. Table 1 below shows the correct barriers in these y columns (i.e. a corrected version of Table 2 in the original paper). The authors apologize for this oversight. Scheme 1. The x-, y-, z-directions for the Diels-Alder reactions of cyclopentadiene and maleic anhydride. (Table presented.).
