Abstract

Conjugated aryl and vinyl acetylenes have been known for a long time as valuable intermediates and targets in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, natural products, molecular electronics, and machinery. The main goal of this overview is to spot the most user-friendly and practical catalytic system allowing synthesis of substituted alkynes and their recent manifold applications in organic synthesis.
