N2 - Gone in 7200 Seconds: Heteroaromatic thiophene derivatives, refractory to hydrodesulfurization, are removed from hydrocarbons by oxidative polymerization over H5PV2Mo10O40/SiO2 as a recyclable, heterogeneous catalyst. The levels of sulfur-containing compounds reach sub-ppm to nondetectable levels, as analyzed by gas chromatography with a flame photometric detector.
