Abstract
The fungus Trichoderma harzianum which parasitizes its host Rhizoctonia solani (AG 1-6) was observed under a light microscope and the interaction sites photomicrographed with infrared film. Bright regions indicating infrared irradiation were observed at the interaction sites, apparently due to the high parasitic activity occurring there. The possible use of infrared photomicrography in cell-cell interactions is discussed.
