Abstract
As part of a siting program for locating a new electric power plant in the southern coastal plain of Israel, several alternative options were evaluated. Air quality dispersion modeling was selected to evaluate the impact of the proposed plant and various control strategies on the Ashdod area. The present paper describes the dispersion models applied to simulate the meteorological and air quality conditions of the Ashdod area and the results obtained.
