Abstract

Breakdown graphs for the dissociation of GeS, SnS and PbS by electron impact are computed in the extreme statistical limit. Dissociative attachment is found to be a major pathway, with facile formation of electronically excited fragments. Ion pair formation is only a minor channel. At higher energies, the ionization pathway dominates.
