Abstract

The article focuses on the music style of Paul Ben-Haim, who is said to be the father of Israeli music, and has a distinct contrubution in the development of the current music scene in Israel. It says that the music of Ben-Haim had radically changed when he moved from Germany to Israel in 1933, wherein he also changed his name from Paul Frankenburger to Ben-Haim. It states that the attitude of Ben-Haim in the earlier period's works is ambivalent.
