Abstract

An experiment was conducted to demonstrate how the distinct dynamical features of discrete optical systems can be used to guide light into a desired output position. The array studied was fabricated on top of a 6 mm long AlGaAs slab waveguide composed by a guiding layer of Al0.18Ga0.82As, sandwiched between two layers of Al0.24Ga0.76As.
