Abstract

For mixtures of kaolinite with calcite, multi-peaked calcite DTA endotherms were obtained, the peak configuration depended on whether dry or moist gas flowed through the sample, and also on the rate of gas flow. This behaviour is tentatively interpreted in terms of adsorption and desorption of CO2 on relatively fresh metakaolin surfaces.-D.J.M.
