N2 - Computational evidence is reported for a reversal in the type of an electron transfer (ET) mechanism, induced by an intramolecular linkage of the donor (amine) and acceptor (cation radical) moieties via a single -CH 2-spacer. An isotope effect probe is suggested to detect this mechanistic changeover.
