Abstract

We have recently obtained time-resolved X-ray absorption near-edge structure (XANES) spectra of iron in the protein myoglobin during recombination with CO proceeding laser photolysis, with a temporal resolution of hundreds of microseconds. In order to obtain this data, a computer interface and flow cell had to be developed. These will be described and the initial data collected with this equipment will be presented.
