Abstract

The two special but very typical cases of 'instantancous' and 'negligible' rotational relaxation involve two different lasing mechanisms. Based on the specific fetures of each mechanism, simple schemes for estimating the efficiency and several other properties of chemical lasers are formulated. The results obtained are in good agreement with experimental and detailed theoretical studies.
