Abstract

It is shown that the ENDF/B-V evaluation for the 235U fission spectrum has, in comparison with ENDF/B-IV, greatly decreased the uncertainty in the width of the spectrum. The uncertainty in the mean energy E¯ is still around 2%, and the two parameters E¯ and w (relative width) have a substantial negative correlation.
