It notes the four categories in the national referenda on European integration including the direct democracy issue, single-case and national studies, and the general dynamics of referenda. Moreover, the goal of the contribution is to look at Irish socio-political borders and to examine constitutional implications of the Lisbon Treaty for the European integration.
