Abstract

Observed very strong signals in TiBe//2 from 1. 4 K up to 300 K at 10 GHz. The signals have the following features: 1) metallic line shape; 2) g equals 1. 98 plus or minus 0. 01 in most of the temperature range; 3) the line width remains almost constant at 50 G up to 10 K, it then increases nearly linearly with temperature up to 150 K at a rate of 3. 7 G/K and more slowly at higher temperatures. On the basis of this ensemble of observations it is proposed that TiBe//2 is an enhanced susceptibility metal, like Pd, in agreement with susceptibility, high field magnetization measurements, specific heat, and neutron diffraction results.
