Examining the Feasibility of Passive Satellite Remote Sensing of Ocean Microplastics With New High-Resolution Multiple Scattering Simulations

Research output: Contribution to conferencePaperpeer-review

Abstract

Marine microplastics threaten ecosystems and are difficult to detect remotely. This study evaluates passive satellite detection feasibility by combining analysis of tabulated in situ data, precise Mie scattering, and advanced multiple scattering simulations.
