Abstract

The results presented demonstrate enhanced emission in Mo VII induced by resonant photopumping by Mo XII. Significant enhancement is observed when comparing two conditions, a cold plasma alone, and a cold plasma pumped by an adjacent Mo XII plamsa, both in absolute value, and as a ratio to Mo VII lines that are not expected to be enhanced. Control experiments, where the Mo XII pump plasma was replaced by a Zr plasma which is expected to have similar collisional and broadband photopumping effects, do not show enhancement when the plasmas are sufficiently separated. This eliminates other possible explanations for the effect.
