Abstract

An upper limit to the production of [Formula Presented] through the [Formula Presented] reaction at the recently discovered [Formula Presented]-wave resonance has been determined. The limit implies that in a hot stellar environment [Formula Presented] this reaction is not a significant gateway from the hot CNO cycle towards the production of heavier elements in stars.
