Abstract
The extension of shakedown theory to elastic plastic strain hardening solids with isotropic damage was examined. The value of the elastic response of the solid was computed for the state where the elastic stiffness tensor was known. The shakedown condition was formulated and the Koiter inequality was extended to the adopted material model. Results of the analysis showed that the proposed shakedown condition was both necassary and sufficient.
