Abstract

Magnetoresistance and magnetization measurements on the granular Ni-SiO2 system show the existence of a ferromagnetic to supermagnetic transition. Around 50% nickel concentration the transition temperature is strongly composition dependent. In addition it is concluded that the intergrain tunneling probability depends on the orientation of the electronic spin.
